On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of Recognition Night, a special acknowledgement has been made to 8 professionals. For years, they have been acting as real ambassadors of the city of Madrid, promoting the city as a national and international congress destination.
Among the 8 professionals, Gerardo Bielons, Director of Events GB has been awarded by the Madrid Convention Bureau with the title of Honorary Ambassador of the city.
He has been nominated as an ambassador because he has already brought three conferences to Madrid:
EASM (The 19th Conference of the European Association for Sport Management, 7th-10th of September 2011, Madrid), WASM (World Association for Sport Management Inaugural Conference, 1st-3rd of October 2014, Madrid) and AIESEP (International Conference of the International Association for Physical Education in Higher Education, 8th-11th of July 2015, Madrid).
Through his contribution two more conferences will take place in 2019:
ISHPES (International Society for the History of Physical Education and Sport Congress, 3rd-6th of July, 2019 Madrid) and IAPESGW (International Association of Physical Education and Sport for Girls and Women Congress, 10th-13th of July, 2019 Madrid).
