The 6th International Sport Business Symposium will take place on the 3rd and 4th of September 2013, at the Faculty of Economics, University of Buenos Aires. It will be organised by Events GB in collaboration with Professor Holger Preuss from the University Johannes Gutenberg, in Mainz. This is an excellent opportunity to visit Buenos Aires, where the election of the Olympic Host City 2020 will be held. The candidates for hosting the 2020 Summer Olympics are Madrid, Tokyo and Istanbul.

This attractive international event aims to bring together experts from the Sport Industry and Business sector to share their extensive experience within this area. These Symposiums, inaugurated by Holger Preuss, were first established during the Olympic Games in Athens (2004) and have been held at Olympic venues following from the first symposium. The latest venues have been Torino 2006, Beijing 2008, Vancouver 2010, Innsbruck 2012 and London 2012..

The 6th International Sport Business Symposium will have the following structure:

  • Sport Business Forum (Tuesday 3rd of September). This Forum will aim to share the business experiences in the world of Sport. During this day, prestigious speakers will talk about their challenges in the Sport Industry. Among them: Kevin Roberts, director of Sport Business magazine, Craig Lovett, executive director of Cleanevent and founder of Incognitus, Holger Preuss, professor of Sport and Economic Sociology of Sport, Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz and Gerardo Bielons, Professor of the Autonomous University of Madrid and director of Events GB.
  • Sport Business Symposium (Wednesday 4th of September). This will include accredited Speakers from the academic world and international delegates of the International Olympic Committee. The Speakers will present their research from the world of sport, and there will also be the opportunity to discuss these issues in small working groups.

The celebration of the 6th International Sport Business Symposium will give Buenos Aires the opportunity to enhance the field of Sport Management with professionals from this sector, and the city will have an opportunity to grow and gain experience in this area. We look forward to your presence.
